International Movers

International Movers understand that moving across the country, or to another country, involves a great deal more than just moving across town. Different countries have different rules about what can enter and what cannot. There are strict guidelines that need to be followed as far as how the items are shipped, whether it is by train, boat or moving van.  Tariffs must be paid and tolls.  Usually because of the liability, the movers prefer to pack the items themselves and inventory them as they go. It is more of an expense, but their reputation is on the line if they are cited for a violation.

Don't worry, though. These guys are well versed in the laws and know how to get your things safely to where they need to go. The International Movers will give you a list of laws and guidelines that must be followed.. Certain things cannot be carried, mostly those items that are deemed hazardous materials. Batteries for one; same with open bottles of cleansers or aerosol cans that can explode in the heat of a van or cargo hull. You also must pay be weight as well as mileage.

The trip may take several days or weeks because your things may travel along with someone else's. Don't worry about ending up with their kid's toys and them with your grandmother's china. That is what all those colorful removable stickers are for and the inventory list the Moving Companies personnel must write up. Everything must be carefully inventoried and accounted for by the international movers.
